ProfileSerg Pilypencos

My name is Serg and I specialize in vector graphics. For 3 years I have been a content contributor at Shutterstock.com, under the label  “Art Area”.

Occasionally, sometimes I also provide custom orders for illustrations, banner designs, and others.

At this moment I am working to create more characters, assets and content for the CrazyTalk Animator community.

Q: Hi Serg! Please tell us about your background and your work. When and why did you start working on 2D graphic design?

Now I am 30 years old, and for the last 15 years I were engaged in searching a profession which was most suitable for me. I tried different types of business, worked like a hired employee in different spheres… but I was always attracted to creativity.

So 4 years ago I remembered my favorite childhood hobby – drawing. Later I also accidentally saw works of some professional artist in black-and-white style, so I began to draw on paper something similar. Now, sometimes people asked me to draw portraits for them, and I happily oblige. Here are some examples of what I did:

A year later I discovered and learned about microstock websites, where people upload and sell their art. So I decided to try my hand at vector graphics and I began to upload my work to Shutterstock.

Q: Could you tell us how you started your content business, and why you chose to use Reallusion and the CrazyTalk Animator software?

My portfolio at Shutterstock was noticed by the Reallusion community, and shortly after I was suggested to publish my creations in the Reallusion 2D Content Store.

From this point on, I began to study CrazyTalk Animator (CTA). It is difficult for me to compare CrazyTalk Animator to other animation programs since before I did not work with animation at all. But I was pleasantly surprised to find out that CTA was intuitively easy and clear to use, even for an animation novice as myself.

(Need to put the video link of Sergey’s first CTA content pack)

Q: Besides CrazyTalk Animator, what other software do you use? Any samples of your work?

I generally work in Adobe Illustrator, but sometimes I use Photoshop for sketches, and Poser Pro as a reference if it is necessary to see human characters in different poses.

Q: You seem to be well on your way to a great future the graphic designer and animation community, what can we expect to see from you in the near future?

Thank you for the support and the praises!  Honestly, I think that I will continue to introduce something new to the community as I go along.

I plan to continue creating new characters while trying to experiment with different styles based on the feedback that I get from all of you on my CrazyTalk Content Store. =)
