Hi Folks, I’m Frank, a multimedia artist from Milan (Italy). What a wonderful time to be alive for an artist! Technology is allowing us to share our art with the people we love, create connections, collaboration and friendship with like-minded people, no matter how far away they are!
I put a lot of work and love in every assets you see in my store: I build them for you, because I know you have incredible stories to tell, and I hope my art could inspire you and make your greatest ideas come to life, through a beautiful animation.
This is what inspires me to do what I do, and drives me to create better and better content every day. If you’d like to talk to me, feel free to send me a message on facebook at @franksdoodles. I’m always happy to hear from my fellow creators!
“With Cartoon Animator 4, I get stuff done!”Francesco Tammaccaro – 2D Animator
Q: Hi Francesco. Can you tell us about the work you’re doing with Cartoon Animator 4?
Hello, I mostly use Cartoon Animator 4 for cartoon animations, but I also use it for illustrations as well. I like to rig and pose my characters in CA4, then export them in Photoshop and refine them. It’s easy and fun.
Q: Whats your favorite genre or theme to work with?
I love sit-comedy shows like Big Bang Theory and Friends. Also more adult cartoons, such as The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, BoJack Horseman and Big Mouth. These shows are my main source of inspiration. I love working with contemporary themes and down to earth characters, as these are the ones I can relate to the most.”
Q: Why did you choose Cartoon Animator 4 as the platform to create your content? And what advantages do you find it gives you?
A very simple answer:
with Cartoon Animator 4 I get stuff done. The tools it offers are simple, easy to use yet very fast and powerful. I can focus less on the technical side of animation and focus more on the fun part (the most important one).Francesco Tammaccaro – 2D Animator
Q: Do you find the process of creating characters and content for CA4 easy and enjoyable?
Absolutely! It could be a bit hard to grasp at first, because the software offers such a broad scope of tools for both beginners and experts, but it’s worth learning if you want to create good quality content. After you get the hang of it, it’s tons of fun!
Q: You have placed 1st in the Reallusion ‘Animation at Work’ Competition two years running, both in 2018 and 2019. What advice would you have for animators looking to create a winning animation?
Plan, plan, plan. Be always aware on how much time you can spend on your animation and plan your resources accordingly. Start humble, create something small, but do it as best as you can. Did I mention planning?
Q: What advice would you have for inspiring developers looking to break into the Reallusion Marketplace and sell their content?
Take your time to study how characters are made. If you want to sell on the Marketplace, your characters must be technically perfect! Once you know the process, develop your style. Try to think of something that could be useful is someone’s story. Remember your content is going to be used by someone else to tell their story. Create something that will inspire your customers.
Q: Where would you like to take your content development? Do you have plans for future content in the works that you can tell us about?
I am planning on expanding my Office Workers pack, together with my “modular” backgrounds: these are backgrounds composed by basic blocks. You can combine these blocks however you want and create the perfect one for your story!”
Q: What is the latest project you’ve been working on?
I have just completed my new Building Exterior pack, my latest modular background. It’s a brickworks building exterior with more than 30 blocks you can combine and create the perfect building for your story. It’s available now in the content store!
