FYQD-Studio reveals the secrets behind Bright Memory: Infinite game development
A new era for game developers has dawned: small and indie game studios can now compete against triple-A studios with the support of real-time technology.
Bright Memory: Infinite, a fusion of FPS and action genres created by a solo developer at FYQD-Studio, has found success and popularity since its January 2019 launch viaEarly Access on Steam. It received an Unreal Dev Grant in 2019 and was presented by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang at GTC China 2019.The developer, Zeng Xiancheng, lays out the behind-the-scenes story on how he achieved a spectacular looking game – with the help of Unreal Engine, NVIDIA RTX, and real-time animation tools: iClone and Character Creator.
Developer Zeng Xiancheng is currently working on content for Bright Memory: Infinite, which is slated for release by the end of 2020. He hopes fans continue to stay tuned for the launch. In this article, Zeng shares how he was able to produce the game all by himself with very limited budget and manpower.

Julian Grant is an award-winning filmmaker with 34 feature films to his credit. A published author and acclaimed digital artist – Julian Grant’s work can be seen worldwide on cinema screens, television, independent forums and on the internet. As an independent writer, producer and director he has created numerous short films and music videos and continues to develop new media showcases, transmedia events and pedagogical strategies.
Julian has worked with Lionsgate and HBO where he worked as the Producer/ Director of the acclaimed mini-series, Robocop: Prime Directives. Today, Julian Grant is a tenured Associate Professor in the Interactive Arts & Media Department at Columbia College Chicago.
In 2017 he was approached by screenwriter Ron Falzone, with his script for ‘Coriander’, which he took on with the help of iClone, Character Creatorand 3DXchange; as he had previously done a number of short films with.

Nick is an award-winning writer and game developer whose career began with a passion project mod – The Forgotten City, after reaching notoriety with his first Skyrim mod that reached 2 million downloads. Before developing games, Nick worked as a legal and strategy advisor to a multi-billion dollar tech company.
Eventually Nick set into making The Forgotten City, by using Character Creator 3, iClone 7 and Unreal Engine, allowing him to win an Australian National’s Writer Guild Award, a 2018 Unreal UnderDog Award, and an Unreal Dev Grant among others.

My name is Ferenc Vincze, and I am a freelance animator and videographer. I was originally born and raised in Hungary, but am currently living in Germany. My profession is Agricultural Engineering, and I have made animations and short films since 2004.
I’ve learned communication technology and I have been working as a freelancer for 6 years. I made several broadcast designs for local television channels, produced experimental short films and 3D animations until I founded my own business called Rendered-frames.com, where I use iClone‘s animation suite, with motion capture, and Character Creator.

My name is Phil, I am 30 years old and I from Germany. As long as I can remember, I have always used Computers, since DOS. (of course the main reason was to play video games.) I don’t remember when was the first time I tried to change something in a game, but I remember that I was young and I was hooked even though I failed at many modding projects.
I decided to study 3D modelling for about 1.5 years. Eventually I started working on our game – Photonic Distress after meeting my colleague Irakli Gagnidze on the UE4 Marketplace. We checked YouTube videos and we saw a Character Creator (CC) video. As tired as we were, we decided to risk it and we bought Character Creator and iClone 7. It took us a while to get the results we wanted, but finally our game was filled with CC Characters!

His animated thesis Film, ‘Bats and Jokes‘, where he used CrazyTalk 8 for facial animation, has won awards for Best Animation, Best Music and Best Short Film at many Festivals, including IndieFest and WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. His Feature-length Film, “The Fallers” was recently selected for the Sundance Film Festival’s Film Intensive as a work in progress project.
I am 51 years old and my creativity has manifested itself in various ways throughout my life. I made films as a teenager with my Super 8 camera. Later I became a singer/songwriter and performed with my band.
Eventually I settled into a career as a graphic designer and web developer. As a hobby I became a Halloween haunter and that passion grew into quite a production.
Our annual Halloween walk through attracts thousands of visitors every year. In 2011, I began to do 3D projection mapping on my house as part of my Halloween decorating. The videos I created went viral on YouTube with more than a million views. The animations I am able to create with iClone have been critical to my success. I have since turned my passion for projection mapping into a business, helping other people do the same.
Hello, my name is Cameron Hines, I’m from Atlanta Georgia and I love to create animations, whether it’s 2D or 3D. I went to school as a web designer, but deep down I knew animation was my passion. I wanted to switch degrees but halfway through my web design degree I couldn’t afford to. So, I told myself I would learn animation on my own.
At the time, iClone 5 just came and it was affordable enough for me to start creating decent 3D animation. Growing up I loved cartoons and video games, so I always wondered how artist would create them. Now with iClone 7 and CrazyTalk Animator 3, and Cloud Animator (CLA), I feel like animators can now create amazing art, on a tight budget. My goal is to be part of the many artists at Reallusion Marketplace , who’ve made a successful career in animation.
