I am 51 years old and my creativity has manifested itself in various ways throughout my life. I made films as a teenager with my Super 8 camera. Later I became a singer/songwriter and performed with my band.
Eventually I settled into a career as a graphic designer and web developer. As a hobby I became a Halloween haunter and that passion grew into quite a production.
Our annual Halloween walk through attracts thousands of visitors every year. In 2011, I began to do 3D projection mapping on my house as part of my Halloween decorating. The videos I created went viral on YouTube with more than a million views. The animations I am able to create with iClone have been critical to my success. I have since turned my passion for projection mapping into a business, helping other people do the same.
The Creative Media Industries Institute at Georgia State University hosted the inaugural US round of the Reallusion ASIAGRAPH 48hr Animation Jam June 29, 30 and July 1st 2018. “Just when I thought things might be slowing down for an old geezer like myself, things are busier than ever. And I have to say that a lot of the credit goes to the folks at Reallusion with that amazing product… iClone!” – Mark Pleasant
I started making videos since 2002. It was around the time that independent filmmakers were realising that the internet was a good way to share their stories.
Over the years, I’ve seen some excellent films and wanted to try it for myself. Unfortunately, I didn’t know anyone who was willing to be in front of a camera, nor did I actually have a camera. So I turned to animation and I was able to enlist online friends who lived too far away to do anything live action but who were interested in voice acting. I also helped run the Machinima Expo for 8 years.

“The Pro Facial Animation system is a huge win for me as a Faceware user. It is by far the best integration of Faceware I have seen in any package. Combined with the new face keying you have a powerful combination to deliver truly professional results. The Morph system is incredible and really frees the artist to do some truly impressive animation that was just not possible before. Camera workflow and python scripting now mean iClone can seat nicely into existing studio pipelines easily. Last but not least, curves. The curve editor means the artist now has the choice for real-time, procedural, or true hand key frames animation or combos of all three with absolutely no limitations.” – Jeff Jasper
“The fact that Reallusion have pulled all this off in a single release is truly amazing and I am super excited for the future of iClone.”
I was born a long time ago. A few decades later I graduated as a Film and Television director. After that I was spent my life waiting for a tool that would give me the luxury of avoiding work with living creatures, and let me become a one-man film making crew.
Then came a real-time animation software and my waiting days came to an end…
