Reallusion LIVE FACE app and iClone Motion LIVE combine face, body, and hands for a totally live performance capture and virtual production solution

The popularity of the iPhone X for face tracking has serious power for animators and storytellers. Reallusion, creators of the unified full-body motion capture tool, iClone Motion LIVE announce the addition of iPhone X face mocap. The iPhone X app LIVE FACE works with iClone Motion LIVE to provide a total solution out-of-the-box for full-body and face motion capture. VFX on a budget and innovation meet with the iPhone X for motion capture combined with iClone Motion Live and the LIVE FACE app

Users can download the LIVE FACE app to WiFi stream tracking data from an iPhone X to a workstation client. Then, through Motion LIVE, combine iPhone X facial data with other mocap sources like Xsens, Noitom, Rokoko, OptiTrack and Leap Motion for a complete face and body mocap studio. Besides custom importing character designs, developers can professionally animate characters generated from major character systems like iClone Character Creator and Daz3D. The iPhone X addition to Motion LIVE empowers real-time usage for virtual hosts, interactive characters, live entertainers, and performers. This new solution also compliments a production workflow for editing, rendering and exporting to any game engine or 3D application.

After three months, the 2018 “Animation At Work” Contest for CrazyTalk Animator (CTA) has come to a close and the winners have been announced.

The event included participants from all over the world including; marketing specialists, animators, filmmakers, and graphic designers, most of who had little or no previous animation background but who were able to participate thanks to CrazyTalk Animator’s powerful yet user-friendly interface.

The “Animation At Work” entries were grouped into three categories – Comics, Business, and YouTuber categories. For each category, we chose 3 winners along with 3 Honorable Mentions. Over $11,000 in cash prizes was awarded to the winners, in addition to Vegas Pro and Affinity Designer software.

Hello, my name is Cameron Hines, I’m from Atlanta Georgia and I love to create animations, whether it’s 2D or 3D. I went to school as a web designer, but deep down I knew animation was my passion. I wanted to switch degrees but halfway through my web design degree I couldn’t afford to. So, I told myself I would learn animation on my own.

At the time, iClone 5 just came and it was affordable enough for me to start creating decent 3D animation. Growing up I loved cartoons and video games, so I always wondered how artist would create them. Now with iClone 7 and CrazyTalk Animator 3, and Cloud Animator (CLA), I feel like animators can now create amazing art, on a tight budget. My goal is to be part of the many artists at Reallusion Marketplace , who’ve made a successful career in animation.

Richard Chalmers

Richard Chalmers is an online English teacher committed to using technology to create innovative and engaging ways to teach English to students around the world. After developing an online presence through his YouTube channel and websites, he coined the word Britlish in 2014 and has been developing the brand ever since.

Teaching English in Spain from 2003, Richard moved exclusively to online teaching via Skype in 2009. Thanks to the success of his YouTube videos, Richard has taught 188 students in 42 countries.
